The year 2024 was marked by significant political and organisational changes for VIVADOM. The super election year not only influenced the composition of the government of the German-speaking Community, but also had a direct impact on our work. With the formation of a new government and the change of the responsible minister from Mr Antoniadis to Ms Klinkenberg, a new phase of cooperation began for us, which we were able to welcome by getting to know each other at an early stage.
The election year also brought changes at the municipal level: the municipal elections led to changes in the contact persons in many municipalities, which plays an important role in our daily work. In addition, changes are imminent in the composition of our Administrative Board and General Assembly – however, the new representatives of the ÖSHZ will not take up their posts until 2025.
Another milestone was the social elections in April 2024. With the election of a new works council and a new committee for accident prevention and safety at work, we successfully held the first elections since the takeover of the nursing division. The new distribution of mandates strengthens cooperation between workers and employees and forms the basis for constructive collaboration over the next four years.
For 2025, our focus is clearly on improving funding and dialogue with the new political decision-makers. As a service provider for all residents of the DG, we want to ensure that our added value is also recognised politically. We look forward to a successful and cooperative partnership.
